AutoLux Ltd. o/a Rapid City Transportation has specialized in non-emergency medical transportation logistics services for over 20 years, providing support throughout Ontario, providing professional and courteous door-to-door concierge-style transportation for individuals requiring special care. Location details
- Drivers typically work Monday through Friday, working anywhere from 11 hours a day to a maximum of 14 hours a day. A typical week can be a maximum of 40 hours ($620.00/week), up to a maximum of 60 hours ($930.00/week).
- Weekend tours are available on a volunteering basis for additional hours. A driver should be comfortable driving at dusk.
- Focus on providing safe, calm and reliable transportation using a combination of customer service, communication and defensive driving skills.
- Assist our passengers with all their needs including carrying luggage, helping in and out of the vehicle, helping with seat belts and other essentials.
- Communicate in real-time with our dispatch department and navigate our company systems on a daily basis.
Position Qualifications
- Have ten (10) years of driving experience with a valid G driver’s license. Must be able to provide a driver’s resume in good standing and a letter of experience from a current insurance company.
- Must be able to provide a medical note in support of good overall physical health and such. The journeyman must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Non-smokers are preferred when transporting people in the vulnerable category with medical conditions affected by fragrances.
- In response to an infectious disease outbreak, one may wear a comfortable protective mask and work with cleaning products.
- Upon joining the company and as requested, can provide a current police check including a vulnerable sector search.
- Have a valid CPR certificate. Company pays to renew CPR certificates during active employment.
- Must be able to drive for extended periods of time depending on trip requested.
- An Android smartphone should be able to navigate comfortably. Must be able to operate and follow a GPS system.
- Have a strong knowledge of own regional geographic area and the Metropolitan Greater Toronto Area.
- Able to communicate effectively in English language.
- Be customer service oriented.
- Can identify if passenger has physical limitations, require additional support and provide such assistance after pickup.
- Have a private location to securely store a company-provided vehicle when not on active duty.
